Mother's Day

So this year was my very first Mother's Day! As some may see this holiday lame or pointless, it has always been one of my favorites! I remember when I was younger how all four of us kids would get together and wake up early to make my mamma breakfast in bed! We always had to take it to her on a pretty tray and add some flowers for a nice touch! I remember it like it was yesterday just jumping on her bed to wake her up and wish her a Happy Mother's Day! It always felt so good to make my mom happy. This was my first year being the mom and it was great! I only have one baby and she is just 3 1/2 months old! Tyson was awesome! He made me breakfast and got me a gift certificate for a mani/pedi!!! (my husband is the best) Church was great and all the women received a long stem flower in honor of motherhood. I hope that I will be as great of a mom as mine was and is to this day! I look up to her so much and can't thank her enough for all the hard times I gave her! Couldn't have had a better mother than her! She will always be one of my very best friends!

Sometimes she just doesn't want to do anymore pictures!

Tyson's brother Brandon, Elder Cox, is serving an LDS mission in Vitoria, Brazil. He is currently in Rio and he is doing awesome! This kid is such a stud! I am proud to have him as a brother! Unfortunately, living in Arizona we weren't able to be at the house when he called home to talk to everyone! So we had to imprivize. We did FaceTime with Tyson's sister and then had to talk through the phone to a computer to get to Brandon! Even though we didn't talk a whole lot it was so good to hear how he was doing and see his face! We are excited that Brandon will be coming home in November! The pictures above were the screenshots we attempted to take while talkin'.

Brooks' Birth Story

Brooks' pregnancy was by far my hardest. The struggles with sickness, body pain in every way including a hernia, and the mental battles that I faced was almost too much for me. I know without a doubt that the Lord was aware of me and made up for that which I couldn't.  The only fun part of this pregnancy was not knowing what we were having! I still cannot even believe that I did this! It was such a challenge and by 30 weeks I was aching to nest and had no clue what to nest for! In the end I absolutely loved finding out at birth and will probably do it again!  We ended up moving in June which left me traveling about an hour to my doctor for my appointments. It was 100% worth it and I WILL do it again with my last. He is the best doctor I have ever had and the nursing staff and everyone around was fantastic to say the least! Hospital included. (I'll get to them later!)  Once I got about three weeks from my due date I requested for my membranes to be s...

Our trip to meeting baby Karter!

Hey y'all! So the start of our trip did not go as planned... Our flight was delayed unfortunately. We waited an extra 1.5 hours for our flight to finally leave from Mesa, AZ. This gave me some mad anxiety... I am not a frequent flyer and planes just make me nervous. Luckily on the flight I was able to sit next to two other LDS women! They were so nice and right away they asked if I was LDS! I said yes and they said there was an ora about me and they could tell. (BEST COMPLIMENT)!! We had good conversation and laughs during the flight! It was a bumpy flight and as great as they were, I was just ready to be done with it! We flew into Ogden, UT where my sis-in-law picked Emmy and I up! (Sorry you had to wait so long Lotto). We got into Logan, UT and grabbed some late night dinner (I was starving!!) then we went straight over to my sisters house! ...................... ......... How absolutely precious is this little man?! I miss the newborn baby stage where it is constan...
