Emmy is three!

Happy birthday to my sassy and sweet little miss Emmy Honey. She is the best. This girl is beyond beautiful in every way. I can't believe she is already 3. What a girl she is becoming! She loves to play dress up and be a princess 24/7. Multiple princesses a day too! She likes to have her nails painted but hates to get them cut. (she complains every single time...) I love watching Emmy be a big sister to Riggs. He is her "bubba" and she doesn't like to share him with others. Emmy can talk up a storm and has new words every day. As of now she claims she wants to play volleyball and do singing lessons and I am not arguing with her there! I'd love to see her do both of those things! She is a killer on the karaoke, especially her screamo version of "Let it Go," from Frozen. I love this girl so much. She has learned new ways to tell us no, including: Shushing us, saying never, and saying whatever. Heaven help us!! She still loves to color on everything she is...

2016 Re-Cap

Year of 2016 re-cap. Emmy Honey: Emmy has grown so much this year. She is the girliest of girly girls and loves her princess dress-ups. But don't be fooled, one of her favorite things to do is play with dad's tools and wants to build things. She has such a creative mind sometimes she surprises me with the things she does (and also upsets me, "toothpaste tower" on my floor). For some reason Emmy is always curious to see what she can fit down the toilet bowl... this seems to be a more reoccurring thing. Emmy was potty trained a few weeks before she turned two and by the end of this year she has mastered night times as well. Ems loves to come into our room at night and wake me up for all sorts of reasons: needs her horsie, lambie, blanket, water bottle, or just to have me tuck her back into bed. I am grateful for the nights that she doesn't ;) Emmy loves her shows. Sophia the First, Daniel Tiger and Tinker Bell are top favorites. She is princess obsessed and i...

Merry & Bright

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR PEOPLE!!  We went to one of my favorite spots to take photos and did some of the kids for the holiday season! (+ we had to add in our FAV football team into the photos. GO BRONCOS!)  The holidays have become more and more fun every year as our family grows in both age and size. This will be our first Christmas with a family of four and I am so excited. Riggins and Emmy are already all over the presents under the tree and Riggs may have opened one or two as well. (Good thing I can rewrap them.)  I hope that everyone has a happy holiday season and that we can hug our little ones extra tight and love on them. You haven't seen the true enjoyment of the holidays until you see it through a child's eyes. They make everything so much more meaningful and enjoyable. Take time to be with your loved ones and enjoy the simple things that this season brings.  We got way more of bubba becomes Emmy will not sit still. HAPPY HO...

I ran.

As some of you may know me well, you know that I do not care for running. I don't mind running for sports like softball, but something about just plain running is not appealing to me. Ever since Tyson and I have been married he has been trying to get me to go running and to like it. Tyson however, is a big runner. Super good at it and ran cross country and track in high school. It is so easy for him! We have been married 4 years now and I finally decided to run. My family (the Davis Clan) do the Turkey Trot every year, it's their tradition. This year I decided that I wanted to join in with everyone and do the race as well! Well, we got there with only like 5 minutes before the race started and still had to wait in a line to get our numbers. We started the race alone. I had such good entertainment the entire race. Tyson, my brother-in-law Steven and our friend Scott all ran and it was so much fun!! They kept me going and kept me entertained to say the least. All in all it was...

Cheers to Four Years

I have been married for four years... Those words are just crazy to say. I met the man who would change my life for the better just over four years ago. When we were dating it seemed like time just stood still for us. We were dating for just six months before we were engaged and then married two short months after that. When we tell people that they are always so surprised by how quickly we got married and how we never gave our dating enough time. But, like I said.. Time stood still for us. The Lord was so mindful of us both. Somehow he managed to hold still time for us to get the adequate time we needed to grow a love for one another. It felt like I had been with him for years, I could not have imagined life being anything else or what it was ever like before him. He just fit perfectly. Almost like a puzzle piece that just perfectly fits into that spot. There was no forcing it in there, or trying to shape it differently, no twisting and turning it, it just fit. He was my perfect piece...
