Our trip to meeting baby Karter!

Hey y'all!
So the start of our trip did not go as planned... Our flight was delayed unfortunately. We waited an extra 1.5 hours for our flight to finally leave from Mesa, AZ. This gave me some mad anxiety... I am not a frequent flyer and planes just make me nervous. Luckily on the flight I was able to sit next to two other LDS women! They were so nice and right away they asked if I was LDS! I said yes and they said there was an ora about me and they could tell. (BEST COMPLIMENT)!! We had good conversation and laughs during the flight! It was a bumpy flight and as great as they were, I was just ready to be done with it! We flew into Ogden, UT where my sis-in-law picked Emmy and I up! (Sorry you had to wait so long Lotto). We got into Logan, UT and grabbed some late night dinner (I was starving!!) then we went straight over to my sisters house! ......................

......... How absolutely precious is this little man?! I miss the newborn baby stage where it is constant cuddles! He is such a snoozer too... I was so bummed that I wasn't able to be at the hospital when my sister had him but I finally got to see and hold him only a week later and he was (is) PERFECT! Good job Shawnee and Kyle :)

We got to see all of my family and it was so fun to hang out with all my siblings at the same time for once! It has been so long where we were all together! My brother and sisters are my best friends and I lobe them so much! Emmy is definitely loved by them all too! Thanks to my family for taking us in and letting us come and steal some snuggles from little Karter!

I love my big brother! He took Emmy and put her down for a nap and put himself down too!

Emmy loving on Clayton's dog, Jeter and then Uncle Kyle, (my brother-in-law) enjoyed scaring Emmy with a balloon!

My little sister is awesome! She took on both babies every chance she had! Love her so much!

 FIREHOUSE PIZZA! ^^^

Isn't he just the cutest?! ^^^ Love my nephew to pieces!
Well it was my little sisters birthday on the 10th so we went down to Layton, UT to dinner at Red Lobster and to the mall to shop a bit! There was this cute little tree house and I just couldn't resist, I had to take some pictures of Emmy standing in it! Gma-H didn't dare let her stand alone. Her balance isn't quite there yet!

Saying our goodbyes to grandma (my momma) and mandee! ^^^
Then back to Logan we go!
They held hands and Emmy was such a good cousin to try and hold Karter!
Love these two!

On our last day visiting we went and walked around the fair and had some fun!

We said our goodbyes and then headed back to Ogden to catch our flight back home to Tyson! We had so much fun and can't wait to see Karter again soon!

Brooks' Birth Story

Brooks' pregnancy was by far my hardest. The struggles with sickness, body pain in every way including a hernia, and the mental battles that I faced was almost too much for me. I know without a doubt that the Lord was aware of me and made up for that which I couldn't.  The only fun part of this pregnancy was not knowing what we were having! I still cannot even believe that I did this! It was such a challenge and by 30 weeks I was aching to nest and had no clue what to nest for! In the end I absolutely loved finding out at birth and will probably do it again!  We ended up moving in June which left me traveling about an hour to my doctor for my appointments. It was 100% worth it and I WILL do it again with my last. He is the best doctor I have ever had and the nursing staff and everyone around was fantastic to say the least! Hospital included. (I'll get to them later!)  Once I got about three weeks from my due date I requested for my membranes to be str

I ran.

As some of you may know me well, you know that I do not care for running. I don't mind running for sports like softball, but something about just plain running is not appealing to me. Ever since Tyson and I have been married he has been trying to get me to go running and to like it. Tyson however, is a big runner. Super good at it and ran cross country and track in high school. It is so easy for him! We have been married 4 years now and I finally decided to run. My family (the Davis Clan) do the Turkey Trot every year, it's their tradition. This year I decided that I wanted to join in with everyone and do the race as well! Well, we got there with only like 5 minutes before the race started and still had to wait in a line to get our numbers. We started the race alone. I had such good entertainment the entire race. Tyson, my brother-in-law Steven and our friend Scott all ran and it was so much fun!! They kept me going and kept me entertained to say the least. All in all it was
